Golfverket AB, which acquired Haninge Golf Club in April 2024, is now seeking a driven and ambitious Course Manager. You will play a key role in helping us achieve a top 20 ranking among Sweden’s golf courses.
About Haninge Golf Club:
Golfverket AB acquired Haninge Golf Club in April 2024. It is a facility with big ambitions, currently in an exciting development phase. Our vision is to offer world-class golfing experiences, and to achieve this, we are looking for a dedicated Course Manager who is eager to build and lead a successful team, working closely with the owners and club management.
Your Responsibilities:
As Course Manager, you will have a key responsibility for maintaining and further developing our courses to top standards. You will ensure that the courses are in prime condition throughout the golf season and build a strong team.
Your tasks will include:
- Leading and planning the daily maintenance and development of the course in line with the owners’ vision.
- Building, leading, and developing a professional greenkeeping team.
- Ensuring that playing areas such as greens, fairways, and bunkers meet high international standards.
- Implementing long-term plans for sustainability and continuous course improvement.
- Managing the maintenance and efficient use of machinery and equipment.
- Budget responsibility and resource optimization to ensure the highest quality during the golf season.
- Collaborating closely with the club’s management and owners to meet the high objectives.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Solid experience as a Course Manager or equivalent within the golf industry, with proven results.
- Strong technical and practical knowledge in greenkeeping and course management.
- Completed education such as HGU (Higher Greenkeeper Education) or agronomy is a requirement.
- Experience in building and leading a team.
- Ability to work toward set goals under high standards.
- Experience in budgeting and resource planning.
- Excellent communication skills and strong collaboration with management and owners.
- A valid driver’s license (Category B) is required.
Formal Education Requirements:
- Completed HGU (Higher Greenkeeper Education) or equivalent.
- Turf management diploma or similar certification.
- Ongoing professional development through participation in conferences, courses, and training at both national and international levels.
