45th AEdG CONGRESS ELCHE 2024
The 45th edition of the Annual Congress of the SpanishAssociation of Greenkeepers was held from November 12 to 14 at the Congress Center in the city of Elche. Once again, the AEdG has chosen Elche, which previouslyhosted us in 2011, as the venue for its Congress. This time, more than 200 registered participants and 31 exhibitingcompanies gathered to attend the congress, which sawover 300 people, including congress attendees and visitors.
The event began on Tuesday, the 12th, with the traditionalGreenkeepers Tournament at El Plantío Golf. Following the tournament, a lunch and awards ceremony took place. In the afternoon, also at El Plantío Golf, a machinerydemonstration was held where several associatedcompanies, including AB Parts & Machines, Difima, John Deere, Greenmowers, Internaco, Kress, and Riversa, showcased their latest innovations to the attendees.
Wednesday, the 13th, marked the most important day ofthe event with the inauguration of the congress and thedistribution of credentials, which led to the start of themorning presentations and the opening of the trade show, featuring companies in machinery, turf, seeds, technology, irrigation, fertilizers, etc. In the afternoon, three interestingseminars were held, providing more specific training ontechnical topics in the sector. We concluded the day with a gala dinner at the Hotel Huerto del Cura.
On Thursday, the 14th, the presentations and the tradeshow continued, culminating after lunch with the General Assembly of Members, which marked the end of a greatcongress. In this edition, as in previous years, we had the presence of prominent speakers from both national and international spheres, such as Jeff Spangler, Bill Kreuser, Jane Lehto, Carlos Venegas, Lara Arias, Silvayn Duval, and Simon Doyle, among others.
